onX has ambitious hiring goals for 2022 and beyond. To support us with hiring activity, we’re seeking a talented Recruiter. You will focus on full-cycle recruitment of talent for several onX teams, including but not limited to: Marketing, Creative, Business Development, Customer Experience, and Operations. The candidate must be able to successfully work with urgency by managing, prioritizing, and completing candidate searches against a fast-paced timeline. 

This is a unique opportunity where you will help exceptional talent unite their skills with their passion for the outdoors. You will be an integral part of a high-performing, collaborative, and fun-loving Recruiting team. This position will report to the Head of Talent Acquisition. 


This is a remote position, where the person can be based in Missoula, MT, Bozeman, MT, or near one of onX's main talent centers (PDX, SEA, SLC, or DEN) with travel as needed. Generous relocation assistance is available to qualified hires interested in relocation to Montana.

(Essential Job Duties)

  • By maintaining a high volume of outreach and phone calls, be able to create a robust pipeline of candidates that results in outstanding hires

  • Within onX’s time-to-fill standards, proactively guide candidates throughout the entire hiring process, from sourcing, to initial phone screens, through the offer stage

  • Know where to find candidates, how to creatively engage them, and introduce qualified candidates into the hiring process

  • Maintain a positive candidate experience through a Customer First approach

  • Become a subject matter expert in the areas you are recruiting for in order to become a trusted talent advisor of the hiring managers you work with 

  • Leverage relevant advertising resources and marketing strategies to create local and regional job awareness in order to attract qualified applications for key roles within your area of responsibility

  • Consistently update and track your hiring metrics in order to inform your hiring managers, recruiting team, and senior leadership  

  • Build and maintain network of potential candidates through proactive market research and anticipating hiring needs

  • Utilize onX’s applicant tracking system (ATS) effectively following compliance standards, documenting key actions, and ensuring all data is accurate for reporting purposes

  • Be a champion for creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive hiring process 

  • Other duties as assigned by the Recruiting Manager


  • Minimum of two (2) or more years of experience in Recruiting in a fast-paced environment, including sourcing and full-cycle recruiting
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects, and hiring manager partnerships
  • Past experience where you successfully hired marketing, sales, and/or design talent 
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, be a strategic thinker and a self-starter
  • Enthusiasm for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the hiring process 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Industry experience working for a high-growth start-up and/or consumer tech
  • Passion for the outdoors

onX is committed to compensating all employees fairly and equitably for their contributions. For this position, applicants can expect to make between $50,000 and $100,000 upon hire. The pay range will vary based upon experience, skills, certifications, education among other factors as required in the job description. In addition, full-time onX employees are eligible for a grant of common share options and an annual bonus of up to 20% based on company performance.
