Growth Marketing Specialist - Digital Advertising (local or remote)

The Growth Marketing Specialist - Digital Advertising will be responsible for executing and optimizing aspects of the onX paid acquisition program for the onX Hunt product. We are looking for someone passionate about digital marketing, Facebook and Instagram advertising, and testing/optimizing newer platforms such as Snapchat & TikTok.

Who You Are: 

  • Social Ads Marketer. You've managed paid social campaigns across the major platforms. You’re no newbie to the world of Facebook Advertising; you have experience leveraging creatives & tactical strategies, making optimizations, and managing budgets. 

  • Innovative Collaborator. Your skills stretch beyond advertising -- you're savvy with data analysis, and you have an A+ in “Data Literacy”. Most importantly, you know when there's an opportunity at your fingertips and are quick to loop-in and collaborate with creatives, data analysts & stakeholders to make it a reality.

  • Detail Lover. You know one false keystroke can topple an entire attribution empire. This is not a “fast and loose” role, and you like it that way.

  • Number Cruncher. By now, you know paid advertising is a numbers game. Mental math might not come naturally, but it helps if it does. (Formulas do, too.)

  • Spreadsheet Master. Do spreadsheets make you dizzy? Probably not. Spreadsheets make you hungry to extract the insights that will make your campaigns sing. 

  • Revenue & Efficiency Driver. The beauty—and the challenge—of paid advertising is how easily it’s tied to revenue and company growth. That thrills you because you’re going to make a direct impact. 

  • Ambitious Executer. You’ve crushed campaign management in social advertising before, might have some certifications or app industry experience under your belt, and are ready to take on more campaigns, more channels, or both. 

Missoula, MT preferred. Open to remote for strongly qualified candidates.


What You’ll Do:

  • Manage Campaigns. You’ll identify and execute campaign management tactics daily across multiple campaigns and digital marketing tactics including—but not limited to—settings, targeting research, creative, landing pages, A/B testing, tracking, and analysis.

  • Optimize Constantly. You’ll work to maximize CTR and conversion rate through best practice adoption and continuous testing effort, all while lowering—or maintaining—CPAs as we grow. This role is not simply about swapping out creative for A/B tests, but actually helping to define what to test, generating product marketing hypotheses, etc.

  • Hit Growth Targets. We’ve got some aggressive goals, and you’re pumped to try to exceed them with quick and precise execution. You might even find opportunities for growth and efficiency that we haven’t thought of yet. 

  • Analyze and Report. You’ll help maintain dashboards, providing in-depth analysis of the accounts and campaigns.

  • Prioritize. There’s so much you can do, but you’ll focus on what you should do, right away. To-do lists fear you and managers love you because you get it done so well.


  • Two (2) or more years of professional experience managing social ad campaigns

  • Proven experience scaling paid acquisition volume or increasing efficiency

  • Understanding of Facebook/Instagram advertising strategies, prospecting, retargeting, and best practices

  • Familiarity with various attribution models and tracking methods

  • Ability to forecast and set goals on a micro and a macro level


  • Google certifications, mobile marketing, and app industry experience a plus

  • Solid Excel skills

  • Superior writing, attention to detail and communication skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to find solutions for unstructured problems

  • Statistical and critical thinking skills

  • Collaborative, well organized and efficient

  • Understanding of the hunt and/or outdoor industry
