The ideal candidate for this job will understand both design and development, will be experienced with PHP/WordPress-based CMS, and have strong collaboration and communication skills. This person will report to the Leader of Growth Marketing.

Missoula or Bozeman strongly preferred. Remote considered for highly qualified candidates.

  • Team Accelerator. Does empowering website stakeholders to do amazing things excite you? New campaigns and initiatives make you hungry to create high-performing web pages and experiences.
  • Detail Oriented. You know one false keystroke can topple an entire empire. This is not a “fast and loose” role, and you like it that way.
  • Experiment Driver. You know data plays a major role in web design and strategy. You like working cross-functionally between marketing teams to build web pages and increase the impact of existing high traffic pages.
  • Revenue & Efficiency Driver. The beauty—and the challenge—of website content & conversion rate optimization is how easily it’s tied to revenue and company growth. That thrills you because you’re going to make a direct impact.
  • Customer Focused. You genuinely care for the end-users and work for the good of the customer while addressing stakeholder requirements.
  • Ambitious Executer. You’ve achieved deadlines and innovation in website design before, you have prior examples or experience under your belt, and are ready to take on more designs, templates, and back-end functions.

(Essential Job Duties)

  • Execute visual design. You’ll work together with various designers and execute front-end visual designs from mockups.

  • Empower others. With so many stakeholders for a website, you are excited to service a wide spectrum of strategies. You will be designing and building web pages, web functionality, and features as well as in-app messages and other platform communications.

  • Innovate. We’ve got some aspirational goals, and you’re pumped to try to exceed. You might even find opportunities for growth and efficiency that we haven’t thought of yet through the conceptualization and implementation of original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.

  • Create. You will work with other onX engineers, designers, and stakeholders through the entire software life cycle following best practices for engineering at onX. Your work will span the entire process: from ideation, to design, to implementation, to maintenance and ongoing development. You will use a variety of technologies to execute goals.

  • Maintain. You understand that software requires ongoing care and maintenance. Services provided by your team will require on-call rotation. You’re expected to respond quickly and communicate the needs if a failure escalates.

  • Testing. Finding out what makes the optimal user experience or psychological trigger to purchase at times takes an extra bit of technical knowledge to execute. You'll work with a fast-moving marketing team to ensure high-value conversion rate optimization tests can take place and then implement the winning outcomes into production.
